Help us double lung cancer survival by 2022! The Lung Cancer Action Summit brings together survivors, patients, family and friends in an inspiring weekend of learning and connecting with one another. Summit attendees learn how to bring the national lung cancer movement to their own communities. Stay tuned for information about the 2015 Summit and share your interest in attending here.
The 2014 Lung Cancer Action Summit was in Pittsburgh, PA from September 18-21 and featured three days of interactive training sessions led by grassroots advocacy experts. At the 7th annual Summit, attendees learned how to work with Free to Breathe to:
• Organize successful fundraising activities
• Educate your community about the disease and opportunities to get involved
• Raise money to further the lung cancer cause
• Craft your awareness message to inspire change
• Develop an action plan to achieve your advocacy goals
• And much more!
The Summit also included an expert-guided tour of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s lung cancer research laboratories.
