Free to Breathe is launching a new grant competition this year that is focused on stopping the spread of lung cancer. We know that once lung cancer has spread to another part of the body such as the brain or the liver, the cancer usually progresses rapidly and is very difficult to treat – ultimately this is what impacts a patient's survival. Free to Breathe has determined a research investment focused on stopping the spread will provide the biggest opportunity to find ways for lung cancer patients to live longer, better lives.
