My mother of three

I was only 11 when I lost my mom for good. I had to watch her suffer and never had the full problems of her disease explained to me. About 7-8 months later she died. She was a mother of three young children, and a woman greatly respected in our community. Even when she was sick, she would push herself beyond her limits to still try and help us with school and put on a smile for us while around us. Even more amazing is that when she could have given up weeks before, and given into the disease, she held on and suffered. She wanted to make it to my brother's 15th birthday in November. After a week of struggling with coherent words and basic functions though, on November 14th a day before his birthday, she passed away. She was NOT a smoker when diagnosed and she never was before, this unfortunate disease takes many wonderful people from the world, including my mother.
